Every skill I help your team build belongs to your team. Every tool I help you make — custom GPT, Claude Project, light automation, prompt library — is yours. Not licensed. Not on my server. Not contingent on a renewal.
When we're done, I leave. And you keep using what we built, forever, without me.
Why most consultants won't do this
Because the incentive structure points the other way.
A standard consulting engagement ends with a deck, a dashboard you can't edit, or a tool hosted on the consultant's infrastructure. The knowledge to maintain it all stays with the consultant. That's not malice — it's just how the contract is usually written. It's also why the retainer keeps getting renewed.
I'm not against retainers when they're genuinely mutual. I am against the quiet version — where a client doesn't realize they've outsourced the capability itself, not just the work.
What transfer actually looks like
- 01Documentation is written for your team, not for me. If someone new joins in six months, they can read it and work.
- 02Custom GPTs and Claude Projects are built in your workspace, on your billing, not mine.
- 03Every workshop ends with the attendees teaching a piece back — not just sitting and nodding.
- 04Thirty days after the engagement, I check in once. Sixty days, once more. Then I'm done unless you call me.
The trade-off I'm accepting
This model caps my upside. I know. I don't get the recurring revenue a lot of consultants quietly depend on. But it aligns my incentives with yours — I succeed when you become independent, not when you stay attached.
It also forces me to do better work. I can't hide behind complexity, because complexity you can't maintain is a failure. Everything I build has to survive my absence.

When this model isn't the right fit
If you need ongoing managed services — someone running an AI system as critical infrastructure — I'll point you to a firm that does that well. That's not my model.
If you want judgment, capability, and tools your team will own permanently, that is my model. And it's built to leave.
